Beats the hell out of being a cop....

Not quite as good a deal as being a layabout though...

well.. being a layabout is the dream ideal life. But I need money to do that properly. It feels like being a fireman is spending most of the time being a layabout... which I like.

Plus who in there right mind doesn't like a fireman.

...Cops on the otherhand...

You will get no argument from me on this point...
Our firemen work 9 days per month (24 hour shifts) and sleep and watch tv for a decent portion of those hours...
Most of them have second jobs as a result of all the time they have off.
Sounds perfect for you....
May require a haircut though.....hmmmm

See... tv and sleeping sounds... pretty fuckin' great. And my second job would be layabout painter/music type/video gamer. I'd enjoy that life.

And I can just slick back my hair like the Baldwin in Backdraft. And then someone can write a movie about me in a troop of guido firemen.

Hmmm... maybe I could start on the volunteer unit. I just watched a king of the hill about that. There was much wackiness involved. And I'm pro-wacky.

Firemen rescue people from burning buildings, and put out fires.

I think you're thinking of arsonist.

Right right. I always get those two confused. I blame Bradbury.

You would just laugh at everyone who needed saving.

Not if they had cute little animals that needed saving. Nothing pulls my heartstrings more than cute little animals in distress.
