Maybe I'm paying for my nighttime funtime romp in the snow in Saturday's wee hours, because now I'm sick. Oh well... I'm glad I did that while I still could, since it's warmed up considerably (now it's raining) and I don't think I'll be playing on the river any more. The ice sculptures have collapsed. Looks dangerous. So much for the MLive/WCBN

Truth be told I'm not particularly keen on the "trading" part, but doing these has kept me drawing... it's gotten difficult for me to maintain the energy and focus to do proper "art," and it was seriously depressing me (still is). With these, I can set aside an hour or two and create something small. If it turns out badly, I don't feel like I've wasted a big chunk of time, and it keeps me in the habit of drawing anything, anything at all. Having gone for months without even picking up a pen or pencil, I'm finally back to fiddling with something every other day or so. Keeping momentum's hard, you know?
