*love* the flyer! Is there a hidden meaning to the 'GA' and 'BO' hirigana in the background?

Not a thing, sir! The image was lifted from a kids' manga called The Story of Stainless Steel Satan. I do not know Japanese, but I refuse to let my complete inability to understand the language prevent me from being a voracious reader.

There was an old computer game by Lucasarts years ago called "Grim Fandango" which was like a cross between Roman Polanski's 'Chinatown', Casablanca, Terry Gilliam's "Brazil", Mexican Day of the Dead artwork and carribbean motifs.
The new black heart procession sounds like Cinema Noir you'd watch on the day of the dead.
Tropico Del Amore *IS* Grim Fandango.

Grim Fandango was one of the greatest games Lucasarts ever put out. They're supposedly working on a sequel now. THe game excelled in so many areas; plot, dialogue, design, art, etc.

Plus, the guy who played El Guapo's sidekick from "Three Amigos" did the voice for the title role, and did it damn well.

in other news, i'm fairly drunk right now.

I don't think they are working on a sequel. The developer left lucasarts a year or two ago to make mediocre X-Box platform games.
what's your source? I only hear of their Full Throttle 2 and new Sam 'n Max game.

dang dang darn!!! Supposedly, work is sending me to germany, quite possibly on the 7th or 8th. Also, I have symphony tickets I need to get rid of now.

One thing about the zeitgeist I never could stomach, multiple events tend to happen on specific days. That and all the damn vampires.

What concert? If it's something my Dad would enjoy I might buy them off you.

Never attribute something to an unsubstantiated force when you can attribute it to the sadism of your employer.

A favor kind sir: mrrranda February 10 2003, 09:27:29 UTC
Would you be so kind as to get me in touch w/Jason and Leslie? Think we could get a small-scale mixed media/installation piece out of 'em (as they're all about small-scale... yeah)?

you should have slovak play opening night. they didn't get accepted either. and that would be fun! out of curiousity, would i be automatically disqualified from putting work in this show, do you think?

Oh Hell no, show us whatcha got. I don't think we're going to have any performances at the opening, as the building owner has been ticketed for noise violations in the past and has more-or-less told us it's out of the question.

I could make a hanging art piece out of destroyed cds .. and then record the stuff made with those cds. It would be .. uhm .. audio-visual or some shit.

Immedia proper had a piece like that a couple years ago and it endures much derision to this day.
