slow on the uptake but slowly getting up in arms

Primarily of interest to you club kids (urbanwulf, android5, rsteigel I'm looking at you), but I thought this would strike a cord with enough of you that it's worth posting. A friend of mine sent me a long e-mail railing against two recently proposed bills that are likely to affect our lives, indirectly or otherwise ( Read more... )

And so it goes. urbanwuff September 28 2003, 18:10:04 UTC
Maybe I've just gone total cynic, maybe I'm not involved enough anymore to care, maybe I'm just really tired after 8 hours of sleep in two days plus Ren Faire, but I can't get too excited about either of these ( ... )

I'm disappointed by your defeatism, but I understand and relate more by the day. You know I'm not one for the rave scene or recreational drug use, esp. E - but I think those are the subcultures that are easiest to mobilize against the first bill. It doesn't matter as much if these bills don't get a lot of mainstream coverage or spin - ravers already rely so heavily on word-of-mouth news. I'll write a longer response soon - just not very articulate lately when it comes to expressing anything meaningful, didn't want you to think I was pissed.

im off to check out "Disinformation" right now.

Im not a fan of meth or "e" personally, but its becoming a exceedingly disturbing enviorment for fellow drug users and distributers...weve been under fire for long enough, its frightening to see things get worse for those exersising their ability's to make personal choices for their own bodies. And also for those who provide these services to support their own intake and because their is no legal way of obtaining these substances.
Not to mention the whole Rave ish.......which is just funny i think.Making Raves illegal??!! On the baisis of them being drug dealing events!
Cats need to stop watching so much 7th heaven.
