The tiredness I can so well remember, and understand. We didn't have croup to deal with, but bronchial asthma. No nebulisers &c. then, so we had a kettle of water steaming in the fireplace near the cot(which was sheet-covered) and a tube from the kettle spout to carry the steam into the cot to relax his breathing. Yes, it was long, long ago..........
