Happy Thanksgiving, i suppose i should say, or maybe not. I came down with what appears from the amount of mucus left in tissues filling three plastic bags to be a flu-like illness on Monday, just in time to totally destroy the plans we had to visit my extended family, a needed break i think for both kathectic and myself from the sameness of every passing

I was actually downing Airborne in an attempt to ward off the impending illness, and I hope it's now passed me by. I felt pretty horrible in Mexico for about a day and a half.

When were you down ol' Mexico way? I am feeling better, but i still have to finish this Spanish paper (a constant butt-kicker for me).

I was down there all last week; I just got home last night, late. It was fun to try out my (dwindling) Spanish. Of course, the locals were all very nice to me about how good it was (yeah right). I also got to swim with a dolphin (picture to follow at some point), which was cool, but strange. And I ate lots of good food and did a couple of tequila tastings, among other things. All in all, a good trip.

I am sending good Spanish paper vibes your way!

Glad that you had such a fun trip. I did a mescal (like burnt tequila) tasting when i was in Oaxaca and felt weird about it because officially only those of us over 21 could do it and i was all of 22 and hanging out with 40-year-olds (you know how i roll) while all the 17-year-olds went around the corner to another bar to drink there without our teacher seeing us. All in all weird.

And thanks for the good vibes. It is going, but getting up the motivation to do more than two pages a day is difficult, and i've already written about 3 1/2 today. And i really have to finish it tonight to give me two days to edit it before its due. It will need that much.
