I know you all envy me 'cause I'm Norwegian, and therefore cool, but fear not, now you, too, can be cool with these easy to remember, translated (local) Norwegian expressions:

Instead of "Oh my God!", say "Delicious London!"

If something was really funny, say "I laughed myself squirt to death!"

I just got this e-mail. The subject says "Britney Spears and Michael Jackson to write parenting book", but the real news is inside: "Spongebob Squarepants Not Shrek's Father!"

I, for one, am shocked.

Am I the only one who hadn't heard about Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog? I just stumbled across it in the online newspaper today. If you haven't seen it, you should look it up on YouTube. (I'm too lazy to do that for you.)

This song* that I've translated was popular for a little while in Norway. A woman called in to a local radio station to tell them about her missing blouse, and to ask for help in finding the culprit. People who were listening found it so funny that they requested the interview be played over and over again, and eventually someone made a song out of ( Read more... )
