Honey, don't be so down on yourself. I still remember the first time you talked to me. I was bowled over, like "whoa, this girl is a force to be reckoned with." You made an impression on me, just like you do on everyone else you talk to. The trick is realizing you've had the courage, the strength all along. It's just our default setting to think we can't do it or we're not good enough. Not only are you good enough, you've been good enough the entire time . Magical things don't happen to you, but you are magic. You make the magic, but we're so programed into thinking we're not that we sit around and don't realize we're glowing the whole time. It's much easier said than don't because of those nasty little voices saying we can't (Lords know I still have a really hard time with it), but honey, those voice? Are you, talking yourself down from being Brittany with a capital Awesome. You are everything you need to be. Try saying out loud. It's ridiculous at first, but eventually you start to realize you're right. Much love, birthday girl. -
