Did you notice that Angelina Jolie's linguistic interpretation of a Nordic monster's mother was suspiciously similar to her accent when she was Alexander the Great's mom? Hmmm....

And throw on top of that the raping of the masterpiece poem's plotline and having her seduce Beowulf and Grendal being their child and you can see why we both want to gorge our eyes out.

I know! I'm a Neil Gaiman fan through and through (read "American Gods" if you get a chance, fantastic book and one I think you will enjoy) but this just looks terrible.

And yeah, it's cause I'm a literature purist. Beowulf is a classic. Don't cut it up for "Artistic" purposes. That'll earn ya a paddlin'...with a barbed wire baseball bat.
