Oh, that was inspired! Wonderful, wonderful stuff. And this

“Harry, it is beyond my ability to express how good it is to be back here again!”

as Ron's opening line actually made me snort milk.

If you end up writing the whole thing and need a beta, I'd be happy to oblige you, ma'am. :)

Ha! I made you snort milk! That's good!

It's weird, in some bits it was really hard to write in shitty half arsed regency dialect, and in some it rattled off. My brain obviously thinks like that.
(no really, I was speaking like that at work after spending the day writing.)

I would do! It would have to be beta'd to death, because it is clearly riddled with mistakes. I'll let everyone have a hand in sorting it out!

Thank you! Do you know, I almost feel guilty about never doing anything on FA. Like, I take take take but don't give back! If I continue it I might do.

You know I'd let so much badly spelled stuff get past me if I was in any kind of vetting authority!

But I could Ementor. Maybe. Then I can be in the prefects gang at school with you and Alexia. Instead of being your little minion!

This is a hoot.

I do love the way you've got everyone in the Potterverse placed appropriately and a backstory that mimics the original but has all the right bodice-ripper elements in it.

It must be arduous to have ones carefully made plans disrupted! She thought savagely. He clearly thought she would be bowled over by his charm! Just like that Miss… Brown! She had heard the gossip from the continent on that matter!.

Clearly our Hermione is already half in love with Ron. Will the less than chaste Miss Brown make an appearance later, I wonder?

Oh, and what about poor Ginny? Is she pining for Harry, believing that a handsome young man of fortune would never stoop to offering his hand to a young woman from an impoverished family?

More soon, pleeeease!

Thanks!

It surprised me how easy it was to convert. Though I suppose the wizarding society is insular and maintains hierarchy, so it does reflect it.

Ha! People always fall in love immediately in these things, it just takes them ages to realise it.

Ginny... I don't know what to do about her. It would be perfect to have her doing that, but I'm kind of wanting Harry to stay single. Hmm.

I think next bit would have to introduce Draco and PriestHighwaymanValet!Snape.

Genius! What do you mean, crap?! You get the writing style perfectly, and there's some nice traditional tension between Hermione and Ron! Luna would be an great 'fringe' character to have- seance scenes would be truly excellent, and I eagerly await the entrance of Snape, however he may be portrayed. Great work, keep it up! Ginny will be fun to write. Will you have her acting demurely, or like a firecracker- would she have been kidnapped by Riddle when she was eleven as well? Just a thought.

The way things are looking, it will be the Ron/Hermione stuff that will be the concentration. I mean, they have such a classic love/hate tension type relationship in canon, it so works!

I was thinking of having Trelawny as Ginny's companion, and she would be vapourish and be in to seances and such. Luna can live in the village with her mad father.

Ginny will be 'pert'. Such a lovely description! You don't get enough pert people these days. But canon Ginny screams pert to me.

I didn't even think about the Riddle/Ginny thing.
