Kay!

Kay was born on February 9, 2007 at 4:07 after one and a half hours pushing. My labor went quick, relatively but we did have some problems. At first she had to be turned, then her shoulders were too wide, then I had intervaginal tearing as well as my episiodomy (because of shoulders) and she has some problems with her left arm because of all that. now when she is older don't tease her too hard about linebacker shoulders :P glad you both came through it all relatively unscathed...from what I hear, that is indeed a short labor.

Hey, things happen for a reason, I like to say. Don't sweat the breastfeeding...lots of kids don't. Supposedly the colostrum stuff has the antibodies, and if you're doing that, then you're setting her up as best you can.

I promise not to tease her much at least but you can't blame me for doing it a little. My labor was actually from 3am to 4:07 but I only pushed for an hour and half of that. Yay! Yeah, I wish I could have done more but trying for two week unsuccessfully is really my limit. If I had a $300+ dual breast pump, I might keep it up but that's alot of cost for less than 3oz of milk a day. Hey and now I can have caffine which will make waking up to keep up with her a tad easier and I don't have to worry so much about which foods will give her gas. She handles the gas like a champ. No colic, lots of farts and burps most of the time and all but I really do like brocolli and not to have her be fussy because I didn't know green bean or apple sauce/juice would give her gas. *Sigh* Thanks for the encouragement.

One day at a time.

Oh don't beat yourself up over the breastfeeding and Kay losing weight. Atticus lost weight too during the first week, and nothing was wrong with Kai's production. You tried, and that puts you above the self-righteous hypocrites who think it's something gross. *HUGS*

And we have to get together when you come this way so I can do the ohing and ahing in person. :)

Later,
Kindra

Hehe, thanks. That sounds awesome.

I really beat myself up over the BFing thing. I wanted to so badly and was leaking before her birth so I had gotten my hopes up so much that we didn't even have bottles. I suppose when you get such a wonderfully tempered baby, you shouldn't complain to much about the things that fall through.

Take care hon'!

LOL! I had to save her's from the cat who thought it must be a "treat". eek! How are things going with you? I'm still having trouble getting through the day. Seems like I spend most of it watching, holding or feeding her. I hardly get anything else done. I wouldn't even get a shower, meal or sleep without my Aunt being here. How 'bout you? You further along, any easier?

Thanks hon'!

landon has been awake all morning. someone gave me a mei tai carrier so I've been strapping him on me and doing the dishes and vacuuming :p

are you breastfeeding?

and I love watching and feeding :p its nice being lazy but I'm exhausted for doing what seems like nothing. he is a good baby and sleeps for about 5 hours at night before waking up. A++ baby Landon!
