I'm trying to write, but nothing's coming. Part of it is that I'm not on my own computer. I'm wondering if once I get a new computer whether I should get one of those 'write a novel' software things. Probably won't help though ( Read more... )

On days like this I sort through my files of old half-started projects, outline or jot down notes for stories I'd like to do, or read something dreadful -- or something really terrific (although I find dreadful is more conducive to writing my own stuff).

Sometimes you just need to replenish the creative well.

Oh I think the reasons for my lack of words and inspiration are many (perhaps even talent), but at least doing some reading will distract me from homework for awhile.

I've been meaning to drop a line in your journal to say how much I enjoyed reading your how-to book. If anything, perhaps this is a sign I should read it again. :)

I would love to read something right about now. I have a huge stack of books and ebooks I'm longing to lose myself in. Maybe I can live vicariously through you. *g*

I know that stack well. Mine seems to be growing and taking upper level courses with books of their own that demand attention aren't helping. ;) Of course, if you think about it, you can live vicariously through reading and avidly procrastinating as well.
