I feel great today. I'm warming to the idea of something I wasn't initially warm to. I'm thinking of renting a cheap room, with a shared bathroom and no kitchen, in Norristown, outside the city, accessible to the city by train and trolley. If something feels good to me, I take what I learn of possible tangles (in whatever way I learn them) use the information to make the way less tangled. I don't necessarily avoid the thing, itself.

This set-up you've described sounds lovely, entirely do-able, and exciting. If it is what you want, go for it and make it happen.

I love the sounds of this plan and living arrangement! I can imagine you doing all the things you mentioned and loving it. The only important element you didn't mention is a good coffee shop. Is there a good coffee shop near your Norristown room?

Actually, no. There sure isn't. And that's a good point. :) I would have to do my coffee-shop sitting in the city on the weekends. There is, however, a balcony on which to enjoy my own coffee. And a diner. But neither of those is a good coffee shop. Maybe my new career plan is to open a good coffee shop in Norristown!

Sounds like there would be a demand! But you're right-- a balcony might do the trick. Besides, it sounds as though going into the city for a good coffee shop wouldn't be too much of a burden.

You know my dream, to have an excellent wife who rents an apartment a block or so away from mine. I think "in the same building" is too close. But of course that's none of my damned business, or anyone else's but yours and D's.
I don't think, though, that I could ever be "over" the lack of a kitchen.
