I literally do not understand why my progressive friends are trying to convince one another not to vote for President Obama. I think one of their positions is that he wasn't the president they wanted. That's valid. No one else will be either, but it's still valid to choose not to vote for that reason. I'm gonna vote for him, too. I feel a little bit bad about that, because a couple of times over the past three years I've sent him e-mails saying that I wouldn't vote for him if he did a particular stupid thing which he then proceeded to do, so I'm going back on my word. And it isn't as though he hasn't done anything right; he's just been pretty bad on civil rights in general, but it isn't as though Mitt Romney will immediately stop indefinite detention, is it? So I figure, vote for him, but also yell at him A LOT.

Exactly. Which is specifically what he asked the country to do. I think people wanna be lazy and they're mad he's not just running the country for them. We say we've lost control of our country, but we completely gave it up. Well, not you, but the big We. If we want to run the country, all we have to do is run the country, you know?
