Wonderful update. Poor Jack soon Ennis is leaving and he going to have to live life without Ennis there.

Hope everything is ok. Tell Camilla I miss reading her stories.

jill: you don't have to thank us for still reading, you are a wonderful writer and your story is close to our hearts.
Sometimes I would like to hit Ennis because he does'not speak and I know he can see that Jack is suffering. But there are bits in your post that tell us they are going to be together in the future. Joe is the friend everybody wants to have and in some moment I hope he could help Jack more. Thank you so much. Martha

Oh, man, life is so messy and you're doing such a superb job of showing that. Very, very rarely are things cut and dry or black and white and you give your characters such humanity in such a realistic way. I feel so sorry for Jack, it seems like he just keeps having one bad hit after another. But, yet, I feel for Ennis, too. It's an awful lot of pressure to be made to feel like you are solely responsible for someone else's happiness and well-being - and that's in addition to the pressure he's getting from other areas of his life. And I feel sorry for Josh. He's clearly still pining for Jack and although I think he's being as forthright as he can be under the circumstances, any advice or counsel he gives to Jack is going to be a bit "loaded" b/c he's not simply a platonic friend and he's not completely objective ("I can't believe he'd just take off." *Wince ( ... )
