Yay! new chapter. Poor Jack. His heart is slowly breaking and he's getting an unfortunate introduction to Ennis's reality. Can't believe that Ennis would throw away not only a lifetime friendship but also a loving relationship because he's to afraid to be his own man.

i'm so damned mad at ennis. i knew i would be, but it doesn't matter, i'm still furious with the boy. i read joe's comment and it made this chapter seem just that more real. thank heavens jack has josh. we could alluse a friend like josh. i wish i had one loke him.

Ouch. Again :( Even though I knew what was coming, that was - again - just brutal to witness. With everything Jack has been through, it's such a relief that he has a safe haven with Josh, both emotionally and physically.

Interesting closing sentence. I know this is about Jack's journey, but Ennis has obviously had a journey of his own. I'm really curious to see how their separate journeys lead them to the point that Jack references at the end. Great job, Jill - thanks!

Though I kinda understand what Ennis is going through, I think Jack should cut his losses and be with Josh.
