Last weekend we went on a family outing to Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. Ripley’s is the spiritual home of such wonders as the Bun That Looks Like Mother Theresa.
All children do it!!! Do not worry. The people who tut either never had children or can't remember what it's like wrestling with a small and fierce little bundle. E had a meltdown and timed herself out this morning, as a possible reaction to busy Saturday and exhausting Sunday! We got home around 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Sunday we went up to Blackheath to see Auntie, then Chartwell, 'cos' none of us had been there, then Hartfield to go to Pooh Sticks bridge to play! I walked something over 11,000 steps on Saturday and 15,787 on Sunday! So we were out 10 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday. So E's meltdown was justified! And the Tubblet needed an outlet too, it just happened to be more public than would please Mummy! Hugs!!!!
Thank you again for a lovely, lovely day! E is looking forward to next year already, hurray!
So glad, because the Tubblet is a delightful child, she was just tired, and, to state the obvious, she'll be a little older next year and a little easier to reason with!
Love stories ladies, especially since I feel as if I know both of you from the various RA forums. I am so envious but pleased that you were able to connect and visit.
We mothers need to stick together and support one another. My 18 daughter still has an occasional meltdown and I have a funny feeling that they might become more prevalent as it comes closer to the time she's off to uni 3000 miles away.
Motherhood, there is no escaping it and no end to it either!
That's part of the joy, isn't it, though, of our time in the RA forums. Tubbs and I had never met before, but we had a lovely day together, and our daughters got along very well and had a great time playing together. Because even though we'd never "met" we'd already been friends for months, so it wasn't like meeting a stranger at all.
And it's wonderful to be able to say that motherhood is another area where we can support each other! And we never stop worrying!!
Oh, yes, deep discussions on a number of topics and writing conflab, as well as the usual squeeing that occurs at any normal meet-up!!! May have solved a couple of my current writing issues, and possibly hers!
Ahhhh meltdowns. I had boys so didn't suffer as many as my friends with girls did. I lost count decades ago of the number of times I have thanked God for giving me boys and not girls. I don't think prison orange would look good on me. *giggle*
I'll make a note to see the Mother Theresa bun the next time I'm in the UK. *wink*

Yes, RA is brilliant for all the goodness he has inspired! We are truly blessed.
