Have they gone yet?!

Leaders from the G20 countries are currently visiting London to discuss Very Important Things.  I have no idea if these Very Meaningful Chats will translate into anything useful, but hope so.  Their visit has made daily life in the city more interesting than usual.

Thank you so much for your reporting from London on the G20 summit.
It was thoughtful, entertaining and insightful.

For various reason, I haven't been following the news lately. And of course, living in the States, I am extremely cynical about US media.

I watch BBC news when I can on the PBS (our poor equivalent to the BBC).

Are you sure you don't want to be a journalist when you grow up? LOL

Nice to read your experiences - and to hear what really happened!!!

You have a colleague called Tonia! Small world! I had to do a double take and thought "No I don't work with Tubbs" *giggle*

Well, by the time things really kicked off I was long gone so your guess is as good as mine about what happened there!

Thank you so much for the G20 update!! I have been thinking of you and wondering how it went for you and all of your hard-working colleagues in The City. I had heard about RSB, and am glad that you yourself didn't encounter any direct ugliness. (And thanks for the line about the daffodils. It's the little things...Save the World, but Crush the Flowers! Sigh. People. Define Irony.) I really do appreciate your first-hand account.

Sorry to respond so late, but I travelled home for an Aunt's 90th B-day party/family reunion...which was fun/interesting/revealing/full of mostly positive family dynamics. ;-) I was also telling my immediate family about the threats you had all received. All were horrified, but sadly, not surprised, as the level of anger continues to rise over here as well. When the trial is over, Bernie Madoff (sp?) needs to be locked into a solitary cell for his own protection. (((Positive thoughts and Hugs to You!))
