I hadn't seen this before and I must say I'm sickened by it. It's clearly a dig at non-christian groups as well as a hijacking of a faith that has no common ground with these bigots. Appalling.

What worries me is that with the general apathy towards voting this Thursday, people will vote for idiots like this instead as a way of protesting. Give me strength.

Yes, I agree you should vote - apathy is going to win them more seats this time I fear.

Brilliant homily! Rev. Mrs. Tubbs!

And do vote! Here in the US they have done away with voting in person--it's all going to be by mail, which some of us have protested. When I go to the polling place in person and see my neighbors and cast my vote--it feels like a civil sacrament. Public and communal and sacred.

Also it looks like you've gotten your hands on Anne Lamott? I always have a few extra copies hanging about so my offer still stands. If you would like me to send you any, just PM me. It will be my pleasure!

The more I read about the BNP the more I dislike them.

I'm certainly not inclined to trust any of the main parties at the moment; but I certainly wouldn't vote for the BNP even as a protest.

I hate to say it but lots of people do take them at face value and it would not surprise me if their share of the vote rises!

As most of you know my other hobby is politics and I can honestly say that the BNP are totally loathsome and despicable! When our council debated supporting the motion for Gurkhas to be allowed to live in the UK they were the only party to oppose it ... yes to our eternal shame our council has 2 BNP councillors.

I worry that people use this avenue as a protest vote and are unaware that is how Hitler ended up running Germany!
