Ooh, thanks for the reminder and the link to the discount! I stumbled across them before, and I meant to sign up for a trial sub to check them out, but then something else shiny distracted me and I never got around to it. Could you comment on which of their resources you've found most useful? I'm wondering if the higher level of subscription service is worth the extra money (I guess that's the level that includes the Learning Center).

hmm, i started using the basic subscription. But, i do like the learning center, for you, though, ithink you could do swell with just the basic. Your level is much higher than my own and you would probably not need the quizzes and tests. They are not big tests. But, the pdfs and vocab lists in the pdfs are really helpful. you could do the free trial. test it out for a few days and see whatworks. i just love them. And, you get a real communal and caring sense from Peter (the head guy) and the gang. So, i actually just joined the premium just to give them more support. ^^

i have stopped using my rosetta stone and only use jpod, now. I just retain and learn more. Not only that, i find everything is far more relevant and useful. So, when i listen to their podcasts, then go to watch my anime and jdoramas, i find i have picked up MORE words, more understanding and listening comprehension. It really motivates me and makes me feel good, for i say "omg! i KNOW what they are saying! "

Cool! I signed up for the free trial so I can look around -- I'll just remember that the discount expires on Xmas day. My listening comprehension has nowhere to go but up. ^_^;; And I've been wanting something to put on my ipod.

they have free podcasts, 15mins each that you can listen to. Then they have the audio lessons, in bulk, you can download from bittorrent on their site too. ^^

it's a great wee site. I love it. I love listening to the gang. It's a real community and you get a great sense that the staff are having REAL fun and REALLY care . it's nice. in this day and age of self-absorption. heehee
