Epic Scam Fail

It's been said that criminals are some combination of three things: greedy, mean, and stupid. I received a scam email that embodied these things sooo much I just had to share.

First off, when you get an email that is from the FBI, you take notice - especially when the subject is "RE: Official Warning from the FBI" - REALLY!??? You can't come up ( Read more... )

What I love best about these is that they almost *always* have a Subject line starting "Re:".

I checked the FBI scam site, and this one is already listed so you can just delete it. I once had one that I forwarded to them, but I don't remember what address I used.

I checked the website too. I didn't see this one, but I know there have been several very similar.
I reported it for the specific address(es) it came from since it was very new.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Although I think it's more likely to be the CSIS since it has an international focus.

I would like to applaud you on your knowledge of CSIS. I've talked to a few people around here about me applying to the service and recieved more blank stares then I would care to admit too.

Funny note: A parent of a friend of mine is a lawyer in Ottawa and he refers to them as CSUCK. He's had a few interesting encouters with them apparently

Thanks - I try to keep up on things. :)
I think anyone who has dealings with govt agencies can find bad things, especially if they always deal with the local people.
