How can people forget? I'd really like to know..because you know what? We didn't even take a moment of silence at school today. Doesn't my principal realize that 3,000 people died and somebody's parent/friend/relative could've been one of them? I saw that not taking a moment of silence at 8:46 or when the plane struck the Pentagon, or when the

We're having an assembly today, but its about awards from last year. So nearly 3,000 people died a year ago yesterday, let's give them an assembly the day after about what they did at the end of last year. I don't really think that was a good idea on my principal's part, but I guess there was no other time for it. Sorry I am rambling in your comments. =X

28 years before on the exact same day In Chile a coup killed several dozens, the dictator Pinochet made sure thousands followed. Do we remember that? Do we take a moment of silence for them? What about the thousands who die every day of hunger in Africa. However bad that attack was two years ago, unfortunately it isn´t unique in the history of the world, not even in your country.
I do not agree that you blame your principal. We shouldn´t forget. Never. But at some point you shouldn´t give those who did this cowardice attack too much credit. Do not forget, but it might not be necessary that someone tells you that you have to remember.

maybe i'd remember it if i even knew it happened..how can you say that this attack was not unique in the united states? it is the most memorable thing that has happened in my country in my entire life. how dare you say it wasn't unique in the US..i can't even fathom that.
i do not blame my principal and i did not say that. and i am not giving the terrorists credit. i'm not remembering them, i'm remembering the innocence they took from my country. the people. the hurt. i'm not praising them nor am i trying to. should we just forget about remembering becase someone might think we are praising the terrorists and not the innocent lives?

The fact that you don´t know about Chile says a bit about your country. Self centered, not knowing what is happening in the world. When I say that this was not a unique fact, I mean that every day terrorist attacks ruin people´s lives, everywhere in the world. This one happens to be the biggest one, but that does not make it any different for me. Any innocent life that is lost is one too many. What I am interested in is where is the line for rememberance? How many deaths? How many years afterwards?
Please do not forget any of them. Giving them a minute of your time isn't a bad thing to do. I just state that it shouldn't be obligatory.

i agree with you that any innocent lost life is one too many, but this is how it all starts. people disagreeing which turns into fighthing, and so on. so i leave you wishing you a nice life.
