Beyond words. THE BEST Indian meal that hubby and I have ever prepared, and harking back to right after we got married when this was something we did pretty much every weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN doing it "the hard way" again! We went to the INdian store in the morning and restocked our spices which we haven't done in, like, forever (all the weird hard-to-find spieces like coriander seeds and fenugree and all those... dirt cheap, of course, because it was the Indian store), and then ground up all our favorites and ...

Foodgasm. Yep, that's about what it was :D Of course, we all feel like boa constrictors the day after a kill but hell it was worth it :)

SERIOUS yum. Since you're in the UK, I can highly recommend Pat Chapman's "The Restaurant Curry Cookbook" series.

In fact .... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pat-Chapmans-Curry-Bible-Restaurant/dp/034068562X/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1249846101&sr=8-2

This is a more recent version, it seems. They rock.
