Finally, a birth story.

Tuesday November 18, 2008 was pretty much like any other day in late pregnancy. I woke up in the morning still tired from the worst night’s sleep EVER wishing that the baby would just come out so I could be done with being pregnant. Hi! I just read your birth story on naturalbirth- and I just wanted to congratulate you! I'm a crunchy mama from Ypsi, and I just thought I'd friend you- I'm always looking for new mama friends. Anyway, you did awesome laboring at home all that time. I wonder if the Mandy in your story is the Amanda who was my midwife- I had Amanda Topping... she's now with New Moon Midwifery. Anyway, there are many Amandas out there, but I thought I'd ask.

I'd love for you to add me as a friend. I am not particularly active on LJ though, if you have my space you can add me on there as well. www.myspace.com/xuranophobicx

Mandy is not the same as your Amanda, I do know of your Amanda though. My midwife, Stacia, is the head midwife for Trillium Birthing Services, and Mandy is an apprentice for her.

You know, you might have ended up with an emergency c-section, but you did AMAZING up to that point. There are some things you have no control of, your child not being able to get out of the birthing canal is one!

Feel proud. 94.5hrs of labor is an amazing accomplishment! You're a rock star no matter how things turned out.
