Personally, I thought Paris did Rory a favour by challenging her. Otherwise, Rory would not have succeeded as she did in prep school. As for Tristan, I thought Paris was over him the moment she realised that date went wrong. In the grande scheme of things, I also think that Paris always thought that achieving her academic goals was more important than any boy.

Personally, I started disliking the show when they went to college and Paris suddenly changed doing maccaroni art and what not... I would have prefered seeing her in an academic context again and not just a comic relief.

That being said, I did like Kaitlin Cooper, who I also don't think of as necessarily spoiled btw. But I cannot see any connection between her and Paris either.
