OK, So I have another thing that I need my friends opinion on.....DO you think that I should have 5 AP classes and no drama, or should I make room for drama and take Spanish or something like that at Pima? Take into conciteration, if I do Drama, I have less time for studying and homework, but then I dont want to miss out or be bored, ya know. I ( Read more... )

one thing to consider: if you take Spanish through Pima then you will DEFINITELY get college credit for the class.

also, you may not want your senior year to be filled with studying and tedious homework. Link could be fun. StuCo could be fun too. TAing in general is fun if you do it for the right teacher. :o)

Drama is up to you, I'm most likely getting out of it (Even though I'm in the shitty class ahahah). It seems more and more like it's simply going to stink. BUT Pima is a REALLY good thing. You get rid of college courses in highschool like AP but with out the end test. I'm taking two Pima classes this year, and the LINK class which sounds fun. When it comes down to it it's a prefernce thing. Also, consider the amount of work with 5 AP classes, I'm sure you can do it, but don't get too stressed out or over worked. BUT I'm just rambeling and can't think today so my opinion may not be good to go by!

i really wouldn't consider intermediate drama the "shitty class" its not a matter of shitty and not shitty, but more experienced and not experienced. Intermediate Theatre isnt necessarily worse than Adv. Theatre, its just where you learn set building techniques, and lights and sound and costumes and all the crews. And frankly, if you think about it as a "shitty class" then it WILL be a shitty class and therefore you will have a repeat of last year. and somehow i dont think anyone wants that. I personally had a blast in Intermediate Theatre. we did our One Acts that weren't amazing but they were still fun, and then we did Raggedy Anne & Andy where we got to let loose with our newly acquired crew knowledge and skills and it ended up being a great show ( ... )

It's not a shitty class within itself, it's the people in it. I was sick during auditions and totally blew my monolouge. So, I knew I'd be placed there. That's not the issue. I don't mind the what it covers at all, BUT the kids in it are horrible. None of them are in the class to act or for any reason outside of an easy A. (they wont earn A's...) They're kids I simply cannot stand. They're stuck up and bratty. I cannot think of one person in that class that has any talent as an actor or any motivation to act. I'm sure if you ask any of the kids who were at the improv part of our auditions they can tell you and back what I'm saying. I'm willing to deal with them for a few weeks, but if worse comes to worse I'll drop the class because of how terrible those children are. I kid you not, horrid. There are maybe two kids who are decent actors or decent people off stage. haha, :] Oy, simply thinking about my improv with Alex. Get this, we're at a party, we both like Mark. I flirt it up with Mark and attempt to make Alex jelous.... she talks ( ... )

Ok, that makes more sense. :o) My improv audition for intermediate was similar. My dramatic improv partner gave me NOTHING to work with--at all. and so i looked stupid because of it. ugh... oh well, she didnt get in ;o)
