Yes, turbotax online will let you file taxes in multiple states. It gave me the option, but I didn't need it.
As for the free part, its free to fill everything out, and to file federal taxes online. State taxes are not free, but its a big enough hassle to print the forms out and mail them that I just ate the fee. They're taking it out of my return.
Might not want to pay fees for both states, so it might be worth printing those (easy, the site let's you do that) and mailing them in.
Meh, you can take the lazy woman's route and have them done for you by a pro. It's not much more than doing TurboTax. I have a lady named Daisy at an accounting firm do them for me.
my dad's accountant did my taxes last year, because i was not only filing in two states, but i had three W2s, and some weird investment shit going on. this year, i'm going the turbotax route, but if there is anything complicated at all, you should hit up the H/R block or something. it's better than getting screwed out of a return or (worse) having to pay a little extra.
