In honor of the exit Dr. Cristina Yang, Queen of Zurich Cardio, waltzmatildah and I are hosting the Dearly Departed Dance-it-out Comment Fic-a-thon! Thanks to rorylie for the amazing graphic!
Drink up--Alex, Cristina & Meredithmrsfjl66June 2 2014, 02:12:44 UTC
Cristina knows Alex doesn't get it--getting in bed with a girl he isn't sleeping with. Still, he looks at her from the doorjamb like he wants something. "Stop staring, creeper," she says, and pulls back the duvet

Urgh, I finally remembered to read this!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A PERFECT SURPRISE (I came here to re-check the prompts and found this).
Anyway, it's the perfect blend of meaningful comedy, much like the show itself. I loved it. I love you.
Also, I just watched the finale, like, it literally finished and then I read this. I am not ashamed to say that I bawled. On several occasions. And Sandra Oh looked SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL this episode, but she was STUNNING at the end. Switzerland agrees with her.
(I was also furious about the "George is gone, it was meant to be you and me and Alex..." line. ARRRRGHHHH. FARK YOU ALL.)
Also, how perfect were we in choosing the name for this commentathon?! I mean, we named it months ago!!! We clearly know the show inside out!
eta: I just saw a gif on tumblr mirroring 8.08 and 10.24. It seems to suggest that the dialogue in both was "George is dead and Izzie is gone..." but I swear I did NOT hear that in 10.24. Can you confirm or deny or do I need to re-watch? Haha!!
And I wept. Multiple times. The ridic dancing. I just love them so so fucking much. I have no idea how to cope W/o Cristina. In my head, Meredith, Baby Bailey, and Zo follow to Switzerland because Cristina has been gathering nursery school brochures without thinking and networking with General Surgery peeps so that Mere will have a job and print things with Cristina's dozens of printers. Because Meredith and Cristina belong together in the land of chocolate. And Alex can afford first class tickets to visit.
(I may write this in a fic. Possibly using these exact phrases)
Of course we are awesome and a little psychic in our fic a thon namery.
