So last night I found a half-completed statistical analysis of the gender breakdown of ships in dcfic-indexI do not remember starting this, but despite the fact that I don't think that archive has been updated since about 2008, I finished the analysis anyhow

I actually think this is really fascinating stuff! Makes me sad that there's not more F/F (or F/F/F, or F/F/F/F) in this fandom.

I have to admit, I was sort of astonished that there was only one Babs/Dinah/Helena story archived. (Sadly, this is actually a disproportionately high amount of F/F compared with other mostly-dudeslash fandoms...)

Oh, I'll believe it! But there are a fair amount of women in the fandom. It's really the only one I read fic in, but I can tell you, 10 years ago (when I was reading X-Files fic), there was some M/M, but nothing like what fandoms are nowadays.

Though I find this breakdown very interesting, I still have to say one thing: NERD! I mean that in the most loving way though.
