I have been thinking about civil rights and civil liberties a lot the past few weeks. Mainly, I was thinking, what would I be willing to give up in the way of civil rights in order to be "protected" against terrorists? I think my answer comes from one of my favourite quotes

That reminds me a lot of the discussion generated for the debate panel my Comm class had on whether or not UNSC should sanction Iran...

We kept getting stuck on the question of what is enough to deter them from not using their nuclear weapons. We cried wolf and now we do not have much (if any) credibility, so what will it take? What is enough to make the U.S. seem credible and to deter Iran?
