From Mark Blackman

I see that you mass-distributed my e-mail to you about my merited (yet refused, wrongly, by you) "comp" membership in "Lunacon 2010" (its gross procedural irregularities earn it the quotes), thrust at people rather like religious tracts from a bother somely persistent sidewalk evangelist ( Read more... )

So... all this rant because you believe you've been cheated out of something that costs $55.

Oh. No. You didn't attend the con, either.

Hmmmmm.

Denied a position on the con staff from which to pontificate from?

Ah, but you can pontificate HERE.

Still can't figure it out.

And as a PSFS member... there really isn't "incalculable bad blood" beween Philcon and Lunacon. That's just silly.

Oy. Just... oy.

(You may want to consider a cut-tag for this, though.)

Cranky crank is cranked-up, I see.

He show at the con this year?

I particularly love the "For whatever reason, I did not perform the duties of a guest or a staffer. I deserve a free membership anyway!"

Hm, can I have Author GOH at the next Luna, despite not having ever sold any fiction even vaguely related to SF?... No? Clearly, this is the result of your personal vendetta against me.

I wonder if he'd see it that way. Probably not. Rational argument is wasted on nutcases. "On advice of counsel"?!?

What Blackman doesn't seem to comprehend is that all those years he spent "working" the con, he received a complimentary membership.

Complimentary memberships for subsequent conventions go to people who pay to get in and then proceed to work over 15 hours of said convention. As a thank you for volunteering significant time on an event they already paid for, they receive a complementary membership to the following year's convention. Blackman conveniently misses the 'already paid for' part of it.

*sigh*

Let's not forget the fact that he cries that he was removed from his position as Club Secretary, completely omitting the fact that due to massive, repeated, computer failures, he was incapable of performing his job as secretary.

I don't think I need to poke any further holes in this thread of letters. Thank you for posting this, Shirt. The world needs to know what kind of person he really is (because some people have had the good fortune not to have met him).
