I feel ya.

First semester:
0400 wake up
0445 drive 65 miles to school
0615/0645 (depending on traffic) Arrive at school
0700 School begins
1600 School ends
1800 Back at home
0000 Stop studying and go to bed
Why spend so long studying? If I made a screw up on a skill demonstration, I'd get kicked out of school and there goes $2500 out the window.

Its not quite as bad now, but it can still be pretty rough.

5 Days a week. Work all day Saturday and Sunday

Group therapy for what? Did I miss something?

Oh yeah? How do you like that? I've got a couple people in my class that work for 'State School' in Denton (Mental institution) . I hear some interesting things.

well it's getting better. The hours are what kills me but the people here really like me so it's making it easier. The place I work at is understaffed and it's only been open for a month so everyone is overworked and stressed. It'll be better in a month.

I almost missed the portion in your post about your job as a therapist in a new psychiatric hospital in Houston. You don't know how vital your work is...there is life in offering "ordinary" assignments in a group setting. Your idea of designing the CD covers and making up song titles is inventive and you must, you must continue creating those kinds of interactive projects. The concept reminded me of my son, a chronic paranoid schizophrenic, who would have LOVED doing that! His love for music, art, and an alternate form of communication would have helped him in many ways. You have a gift and you will find a multitude of avenues to share it.

BTW. Where is this hospital and what is it called? My son checked into just about all of them in Houston when he was living there and they were largely staffed by extremely bored drug pushers.

The place I work at is called PACE and it's a division of Riverside Hospital and it's near the Astrodome/Reliant Arena.

Thanks. Riverside must have added that division in the past year or so. Ben lived near there in 2004. I remember the hospital.

Be good,
