Very much worth your writing, and my reading. I'm sorry to hear about Ace (a cat I was at least acquainted with). I could comment to this at great length, but I wouldn't be able to add anything at all to what you've already said.

Poor elderly Buddy(The smaller brown beast) is tottering on the edge. Most recently it's beginning to look like he'll make it through this latest bad patch. Each time he manages to bounce back, I'm surprised. Having his drama during a time of human loss is an additional drag. Still I'm glad he's managing to hang in there. Soon enough I'll be trying to retrain myself after his passing.
