These are hilarious! They all make me want to write an illustrated kids book! Yours has an especially visual start!

Twelve oceans drumming
Eleven thunderstorms piping

Then it has a bit of a visual aside which is hilarious:
Ten bettas a-gaming
Nine beagles cooking
Eight horses a-baking

Not sure how to handle reading rivers but the the accounting cats can go with the baking horses, beagles cooking, & Bettas gaming - it's a regular party. Somehow I'm imaging those Alphabet books with the amazing illustrations - you know the ones?

ooh- had a brainstorm - a photo of river water w/the smooth rocks underneath: and on them collage in transparent word-text so it looks like the rocks & riverbottom are telling a story - that would rock as an art collage.
