Bummer!

Jeff Schalles (galacticvoyeur) and Paul Regge are two of the handiest guys I know who may have done copper pipe work. I watched it once at my house...

Good luck!

Thanks! We have broken down and called someone in the yellow pages. Should only be about $150 to repair. Only. Could always be worse though.

I've seen it done but have not done it myself. I wonder if there is anything else worth trying in the meantime made for those of us who don't know how to do these things. You know some type of temporary substance.

I am a big fan of the duct tape fix-it-all method, but I don't think it would work here. ;) I know nothing about this subject.

Where is the leak?

It is from the top where the hot water out is. From the threads where you screw on the copper pipe. The connection between the pipe and the tank is leaking. Well, was leaking until Michael turned off the water to it.
