how much do you charge for laptop repairs? we have one which was dropped so only half the screen works and the hard drive has to be taped in! It's been sitting in a drawer for 3 years or so because he can't be bothered to get rid of it, but he may even be up for selling it as he can't be bothered to do anything with it.

if the screen is broken, it's quite an expensive thing to fix - they can be up to 100 quid for parts alone. However, it might just be cabling, which is a bit easier. Plastics can be fairly cheap to replace. If it's been in a drawer for three years it's probably not really worth it. Depends what it is. I'll probably give you a few quid for it as a broken laptop though, if you want to get rid of it.

I wonder if its a dodgy connection as the screen worked when my dad initially turned it on 3 weeks ago. I will find out the spec and what its worth to see if its worth getting fixed.
