Assuming that the other 2 switches control lights in the basement, you would turn each light on and then off one at a time. The switch that doesn't turn anything on in the basement is obviously turning something on upstairs.
There are many ways to solve this stupid ass bitch of a puzzel but...
Assuming that all three switches belong to three lamps upstairs one including the one in the bedroom..((this makes it a lot easier)) I would turn on one switch for about 5 min. and then turn it off and then turn on another switch really fast. I would then go upstairs and check out that one bitch of a lamp in the bedroom. If it's off and hott hen it's the first switch, if the light is on it's the second switch, if it's off and cold it's the third switch.
But I added to the puzzel.. so I guess I didn't figure it out the way I was supposed to.
