Got my temps today.
:D It took forever though. We got to the DMZ place and we had to wait in line for about an hour.5 and then when we got up to the desk we find out we need my certified birth certificate. My mom brought a copy. Another 45 minutes back home to get it and come back, the lady was nice enough to let us skip so we wouldn't have to wait more. And then I got it.
After that I did a lot of last minute planning to get lockers. I really wanted to drive around and pick everyone up! Wouldn't that have been fun? I think it would have.
After lockers I got to drive from my sisters friend's house to Marshall Fields. Exhilirating and scary. I got a pair of Express jeans, and three Le Tigre polos, and a pop icon shirt from Field's. ALL FOR UNDER $75! I love it!
Then I went to drivers Ed which puts the aim in lame (hah). That went by faster than usual and that was fun. There's a Puma knit hat in Buckle that I'd love to own. I'm obsessed, but I'm apathetic towards your thoughts. [Listen to Apathetic Way To Be by RelientK.]
After Drivers Ed I came home and my mom says I'm driving her and Julie to Marshall Field's again at nite. And that was awesome, but I really suck at parking. Today was my sisters birthday. I got her a card.
I really want to refurbish and paint my room. If you've ever seen those really industrial homes where the walls are just wildly painted and such -- that's how I want to paint my room. I'm thinking a coffee/chocolate colour theme, but with lots of artwork on the walls -- paintings and pictures. I want to get rid of one of my computers and replace it with a laptop so that will open some space in my room. I want to get rid of my bed and get a futon (or use the one I already have, I haven't decided yet). I want to get a chair or maybe beanbag just for lounging and whatnot. I also would like to put up some shelves in my room. Specifically I'd like one to place a tv that I really want.
I'm really into this home decor thing.
I saw the Criss Angel specials. What a horrible originalist! Almost all the tricks he showed were already done by David Blaine. The swallowing of hair and it reappearing as one of his stomach hairs (Criss did a variation with needles. He swallowed them and made them appear from his belly button.), card through window (Criss did it on a bus, which is more exciting I guess. But if you know the secret and are comparing DB's specials and Criss' specials, it's not original.), exploding wine glass (HORRIBLE! I don't see how Criss could just go around and copy David.). The only good effect I saw was his de ja vu one. A couple was standing in the middle of a hallway about 10 feet from the camera one second, the next second they are at the other end! That was amazing, respect on that one.
His two specials (so far) have just revolved around his "stunt" for that show. The first one was him being handcuffed in a barrel full of water that is being held over 8 stories high. He has two minutes to escape. Go watch it to see what happens, it has its nerve racking parts, but it is what it is.
The second one was him lying/laying/whatever on a bed of nails while an SUV rolls onto him. This was scary and you should see it.
I want to see his next two ones. Hopefully they'll show his Times Square disappearance and reappearance (AMAZING) and his levitation of the street audience (AMAZING TOO!).
I want to read the Tale of Despereaux. I don't know why. Mice and French appeal to me somehow. And a mouse falling in love with a girl? That would be lovely. I want to finish the rest of the Chronicles of Narnia too.
I watched The Four Feathers tonite. I love that movie a lot. I want to rent a whole bunch of movies, mainly dramas and horror, one day. The next day I'd just get up and start watching movies at 7 AM till nite in my pajamas with my bed hair. Then I'd play stupid PS2 games and watch infomercials and sing songs like I don't care who hears me. All the while I'd eat yummy micowavable pizza rolls, hot pockets, popcorn, fruit gushers, peach rings, soda, sunny d-lite, and the best food in the world. I could fall in love with a girl that loved to do all that for one day.
Magic is a powerful drama and the world is its stage. . . I intuitively understood that magic is an incredible art that in one mysterious moment can make you question eerything. Magic strips away logic, it confronts fears, and brings us to a place of constant wonder and enchantment.
