Question

Has any of you ever sent any actors/actresses fanmail? I want to, but I don't know what to say. Do I talk about myself or do I talk about how much I enjoy watching their work? And if I want an autographed photo or something, do I ask?

Any feedback at all is appreciated!

I have sent for many autographs - and have at least a hundred in my collection. I often ask on behalf of someone else - as for a birthday. Or myself as a fan. Talk briefly about what films I like, and give my best wishes for future work.

I have some very interesting people, including Ray Bradbury, Tom Baker, Elmore Leonard........

Some are only standard pr issue, some I have a lot of personalized ones too. For best results, include a sase with your letter.

I sent one to Steve Buscemi. I just sent a nice greeting card with a Renoir on the front. And I was just really conversational.

I sent it like, four weeks ago, so we shall see if he responds.

I've wondered about this too. And I'm not going to be very useful here but...

I considered sending Tom Felton a letter once. Just hey, I'm me, this is what I do, I <3 you...things like that. I never ended up doing it because I figure, he prolly gets thousands of mail and what's to say that mine isn't just one in the thousand and it's not really special. So I didn't. But who're you planning on writing, anyhoo?
