Are they fucking serious?

When I saw this in The Exiled, I thought "nah, Mark Ames is being hyperbolic, there's no way anyone could be that evil." As I recall, there were a number of German investment banks/groups who were doing this with American Life insurance policies for a while now. It backfired on them spectacularly when the policy holders plain refused to die. Ended up costing them millions. So its not an unheard of thing.

It is increadibly immoral and gives you some idea of exactly what your life is worth to the corporate wage masters who run America. I'll give you a hint: Its largely Dollar Signs.

Not to mention that its a fucking dumb idea. It looks like an easy cash grab, however, as the gap between rich and poor increases, the ability to afford life insurance goes more to the side of the rich, and given their wealth and comfort, are more likely to live longer. So long as none of them encourage the straving masses to eat cake.
