My grandfather went and died today. With his typically contrarian approach to things he did it while we were all fussing over my almost-certainly-dying grandmother. I have to wonder if he did it because he didn't want to be the one left over, or whether he just wanted to see if we were paying attention. I wouldn't put it past him ( Read more... )

My condolences. The way you talk about grief is really touching. And next time I pass dishes around a table I will think of him - even though I never met the guy, I'm sure he was quite a character.

I don't know how I missed this post, I am so sorry to hear about Wally. I agree - I never met the man, but the stories are awesome. I am tempted to put bacon on my cereal this morning.
