There currently is no cure for giving a crap about people, but with treatment it's possible to live a relatively normal life.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. Let us know if you need a lamb cake or something.

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandmother. I'm sort of surprised to realize I never met her; I've enjoyed so many of your stories about her over the years. I always assumed she was the genetic source for so much of your own wit and strength. Good luck this weekend.

And I want to add my voice to what I know must be a chorus of people urging you to post more; you'd be interesting writing about how to peel carrots (in case the point of that odd sentence was lost in its randomness, I'm mean anything you write is interesting to read).
