Oh very well said.

I didn't think he would die, but I really did worry about it.

I think she put it brilliantly. Thanks fo quoting her.

it really reminded me that when i very first read the books it was harry and his poor little battered heart that drew me in.

and ultimately - that's what it's all been about for jkr too.

everytime I thought about it, I knew there was no way she could have actully killed Harry. For me, it would have been anti-climatic.

I figured that Lupin and Tonks were the ones who were killed instead but I wonder what all the fuss was with Hagrid. She led most of us to believe that Hagrid was 'toast' so I wonder if he was the one that got the reprieve.

I think she's left us with so much to think about, so much to fill and that is what makes this story wonderful.

yeah. i know what you mean.

i was trying very hard to not have my heart set on a particular outcome.

i didn't want a pre conceived idea of what it 'should' be and what i 'wouldn't accept'.

i was more 'convince me'. you know?

i thought hagrid was toast too, but in that alchemy thing the red stage (reubeus = red) the death doesn't have to happen, so that was also predicted, that it would appear that he would die but he wouldn't actually die. so they seem to have gotten that bit.

*sniffles*

I feel terrible for even doubting that Harry would live.

when he was walking to his death i really believed this was it. i knew a 'he dies but doesn't die' thing was on the cards, but i really thought that was it. i thought he'd see the epilogue through the veil or something....

*snuggles him*
