Disagreements
I wonder why, no matter how nicely you try to do it, if you disagree with some people in the slightest they attack you. I haven't figured out if I am somehow intimidating or if they are just plain old defensive. Yard Work
There is much yard work. Grass grows quickly and high in Mississippi and it's amazing how often it needs to be mowed and edged. Whew. Of course I couldn't do it today--the very day I had planned to do it because of rain!!! Oh well, small frustrations ( Read more... ) -
EEWW
Found a snake in my yard, sunning on some cement steps I have to avoid mud. He crawled under my shed when he saw me. A big long black one. Maybe a king snake. I'd like to say he was more afraid of my than I was of him, but I'm not sure. Hopefully the management of the mobile home park will be able to get rid of him tomorrow ( Read more... ) -
Happy Mother's Day!!
Happy Mother's Day to all of us who have raised or helped raise children. Being a mother is a special gift--a priviledge for which I am eternally grateful. I also offer tribute to my own mother who is now 83. -
How Embarrassing?
I guess most of you are not interested in the fact that it was another gorgeous day here and that I've been working with my plants and glazing ceramics. Springing into Spring
Spring is arriving here. My tree has lovely white flowers on it and I've planted some shrubs on the street side of my house. Of course I'm told that everyone in Ms knows that there will be one more frost and that I've made a terrible mistake. Well, I can cover them if it looks like It will get cold.

Not Quite Spring
It's warming up here in Mississippi a little, but it's still not Spring. I still have to cover the plants that are still alive at night to protect them from below freezing weather, but they do smile when I let them see the sunlight.
