THE ALPACAS.

ugh it was a hot mess. I feel like it's a let down only because 8,9&10 were so good so we were like OK YOU CAN TELL A STORY TEEN WOLF but they had too many things to juggle and BASICALLY dropped them all.

CROL

Seriously, I FEEL THE SAME WAY. There was just TOO MUCH. If they had a two-hour finale, they could have pulled it off, I think, but this was just rushed and felt so disjointed? AND I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. I LOVE THIS SHOW. I WANT IT TO DO BETTER THAN THIS. :(

Also I really got irritated at Stiles for the first time ever and when you make Stiles irritating you are SCREWING IT UP.

YES. Although, I GET where he was coming from (if you're referring to the Lydia thing) BUT AT THE SAME, EVERYONE IS FUCKING UP ON LYDIA, JUST BE THE ONE PERSON SHE CAN COUNT ON, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE HER. COME ON. RUN AFTER HER, EXPLAIN YOURSELF. PLEASE. SOMETHING. UGH.

YES. That would make a lot of sense! Because S1's finale was TIGHT, I think, and worked really WELL. Who knows. But I am really really excited for them to get twice the episodes and see what they can really do, you know? SO EXCITED. \o/\o/\o/

BUT YEAH, WITH THE CRACK-SMOKING

HIS FACE. HIS FACE FOREVER.

Yeah, that was pretty much a crazy train of wtf is happening from start to finish. Like, I ENJOYED it, because it was fun to watch with my internet frands? But pretty much NOTHING made sense, no one ever behaved in a believable way, and NOTHING GOT DEALT WITH. I mean. Even GRANDPA TIGH might not actually be dead. That's NOT OKAY. And it wouldn't be so BAD if we didn't know from earlier in the season that they CAN tell a good story--they just DIDN'T, here.

Also for all the completely irrelevant conversations that took place during that episode they could have actually had ONE REAL COMMUNICATION between, oh, ANYONE.

I still LOVE a lot of the things that I love about this show, and Dylan's face, and Tyler Hoechlin's everything (GIRL I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU, OH MY GOD). But, JUST BEING HONEST, that was a terrible forty minutes of television last night.

YEP. Exactly. Such a trainwreck, and what's worse, it was so confusing, it stopped being COMPELLING, which is one of the things I love MOST about this show, how easily you start to feel for EVERYONE, and how clearly they WANT you to feel for everyone, even Allison's crazy mom, ffs! You know? So this was just a mess. A MESS. :((((((

OH GOD, DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE IRRELEVANT CONVERSATIONS, OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.

PEOPLE. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. SERIOUSLY. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU ALL.

I think I would honestly not mind the plot holes so much if I trusted Teen Wolf to pick them back up in the next season. I enjoyed the pacing of the first season a lot, and definitely most of the second season - and actually thought the shortened season was a GOOD thing - it keeps a show from lagging, for sure, and avoids lame Monster of the Week sorts of things. But I think this is definitely a case of too many threads and not enough time to see them through. The last couple of episodes needed at least a couple of MORE episodes to flesh everything out properly, instead of barreling along before the time slot ended. They needed a good beta with a red pen to underline parts and write WTF on them and send them back to be rewritten ( ... )

Sometimes it's good to come away from a show having more questions than you feel like it answered, but in this case, it's just a whole lot of narrative leaps that make no sense. Every time I try to figure out the answer to ONE question in my head, I end up having three more on top of it.

They absolutely ran out of time, and it felt like the writers had an idea of where they wanted to be by the end of the season, but didn't really know how to GET there. And so they just put all the loose threads of the season into a blender and gave us some fake Stiles In Peril suspense and thought that maybe that would be good enough.

I know! I really, really want to trust them with it, but IDK. WE SHALL HAVE TO SEE. Still love the show to bits and pieces, but this was disappointing. :( EVEN STILES :( THE ONLY PERSON WHO DIDN'T DISAPPOINT ME WAS DEREK, BECAUSE - DEREK. HE IS BASICALLY DEREK ANDI LOVE HIM A LOT.

I felt the same way about the shortened seasons, and when I heard they're gonna have a full season next season, I was worried about it, but now I'm thinking, maybe it's a good thing? Ugh, we'll see. I JUST WANT MORE. LET'S BE HONEST. ONLY MORE IN A SEASON 1 AND EARLY SEASON 2 KIND OF WAY.

LYDIA DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER. OH MY GOD. JACKSON WAS ALWAYS AN ASSHOLE, YOU KNOW?

Did Stiles get let go and then not even...attempt to contact Derek or Scott about the fact that Erica and Boyd were tied up in Colonel Tigh's basement? I just. Augh. AUGH.

SO MANY QUESTIONS. SO LITTLE TIME.

I ... really really do not understand what just happened. At all. The first scene was so amazing, with Stiles facing down Gerard and talking about his ~bond of friendship and scent with Scott, and ...

Somehow at the end we're supposed to have this sense that Scott and Stiles feel like things are settling back into some kind of normalcy, but how? Jackson is a werewolf now! Peter is alive (and Lydia is not dealing with it, wtf, is she just like 'oh it's cool that happened'?!), Boyd and Erica were tortured and are missing (why isn't anyone looking for them?! Scott? Derek? Hello?), Gerard's death is totally inconclusive ... Allison must need serious help (not just the assurance that true love will wait for her to get over her sudden killer phase) ... I mean, nevermind the pack of alphas (that didn't show up when Peter turned?), the boys have plenty of things to be freaked out about. You'd think their friendship might be a bit damaged at this point, too, after Scott didn't tell Stiles anything and Stiles ... decided he was too ( ... )
