Last winter, I convinced Patrick that we should get a dog. After weeks of adoption shows, applications and unreturned phone calls we were still without dog. Sure, we had some requirements like size and low/no shed but every time we found a dog that worked it would get rescued out from under us. I frequent a website called Dailypuppy.com. The content of this website is fairly self explanitory, they showcase one puppy every day. Last weekend I attempted to make Samoas completely from scratch. I even made shortbread cookies. So I toasted coconut flakes, stirred up my caramel goo and combined them ready to top the cookies. However, I underestimated the stickiness of said goo and there was no way that the cookie and the topping would become one. I was quite disappointed ( Read more... )
