" Mr. Stogoff, how did you attract those interesting women to your blog? What is your secret?" - asked me Mr.vanderhoog. of coarse, that is because of my charming personality I decided to help him and tried to formulate a number of simple rules.

How to attract women (and man) to your blog. Inspired by Dale Carnegy and Gleb Zheglov ( Read more... )

I think mithgol has the best experience in this respect: before he banned 5000 users, he must have got all of them in his blog, didn't he?

:-) no, of coarse not. he banned them preventively. I think, mostly as friends of his "enemies". (not sure about friendsfriends :-)

He has more than 600 friends. Is it due to Carnegi/Zheglov rules or 'cause of his clinical idiotism indredible wiseness?

well.. what is strange about it?
of coarse, the guy is weird. but he is a kind of cult figure in russian blogging. I would even ask why only 600, why not thousands?

Thanks for the effort, Mr. Stogoff, much obliged and whenever I feel the urge to start a popular blog, I will consider your rules. However, I do wonder if you are popular enough to give guidelines. This post for example generated only one reaction, from Rafaga, and that is not enough for me. Fla’s blog receives an average of 50 reactions per blog, now that is popular. I would take advice from her, if needed of course.

Your points 4 and 6 (be positive and smile) are true. Acting happiness is like acting fitness, a strategy well known by chimpanzees. A sick alpha male will strike twice as hard, because when he shows weakness beta males will challenge him.

Putting on fake smiles work, I am well aware of it. Nevertheless, I prefer to stay as natural as possible, that works better for me.

you are welcome. actually, it was fun.

of course, not. actually, this blog is just in it's very beginning, and I am still not sure what will be the future of it.
I wonder, why did you ask me for the secret success formula in the first place while I have no popularity here at all.
On the other hand, I do have certain popularity in my russian blog and all those advices above are based on my russian blogging experience. I hope they are also relevant for other audiences, although I am not sure of that.

yeah, I know.. but it is not because of the post (inferior) quality. It is just because I don't have enough friends here (yet?) and almost no friends, that are willing to communicate. Nevermind what I write in my next post, it wouldn't receive too much comments. As I said, this blog is just started.

There is one more way of becoming a "tysyachneg"
1)create a few thousands of murzilkas
2) add urself as a friend by those murzilkas
4) and post comments in ur blog some of those murzilkas.

Then u become damn popular.
