Back to where we started, losing who we were

 There have been times in my life during which I was genuinely happy.  I mean, truly, without a doubt, all around happy.
This is not one of those times. 
I can't remember the last time I had one of those times.
I know something (or multiple things) need to change in order for me to become genuinely happy.  However, I don't know what exactly.
