Making New Year's resolutions early.

Dec 06, 2008 10:31

I've decided that I want to run more LARPs. Rather a lot more than I have been doing. Specifically, I'm going to aim for a rather ambitious goal of writing from the ground up and running a LARP per month throughout 2009. If I fall behind in writing, I may use prewriten LARPs from sources on the internet. Or include running old LARPs for new ( Read more... )

giving myself an easy start, gaming, writing, larp-a-month, rpgs, larp, new years resolutions, the difficult question of logistics, roleplaying

I would love to be an NPC for anything through January -- the video quality won't be amazing, but my phone does do decent video oddly enough -- and I have a conversion utility that can put it into any format you need.

If you want to point me towards a script, I can see what I can do.

(After January I may have the free capital to attend, so I don't want to tie myself to the plot too much.)

ALSO: Don and Liz have discussed a murder mystery dinner the night before the wedding, or something like that. You may want to communicate with him, as that may mix it up a tad for you. Email me and I can get you his email and/or phone contact info.

You know that Amber actually believes in Don Trembly now? I don't know if you heard about that, but we ran into him at the lake where Amber's mother has a camper.

Video quality on a celphone is less than ideal, but we might do that if I don't get any volunteers

(PS: script? It's roleplaying, man. Make some shit up. I'll give a few situations, maybe, but no scripts.)

I am aware of her tentative belief -- she still thinks he may be a hired agent of some sort, though.

And, yeah -- I could do some "role playing" as you put it.
Let me know, though.

And something about negotiations over a phone? I could probably do that too -- I didn't read absolutely everything... What's that? *goes to read the link*

Yeah -- I read the first half, not the second part.
I, also, like the phone negotiator. I'm free most weekend nights and would be game to fill this role if it is a way you decide to go. (Or an even more bit part; a police chief, concerned parent, anything like that. Not to pollute your idea pool.)

I love you, your ideas, etc. You should send that link to the Wedig list - some of your brothers might want to do the lost distance stuff. I like the idea of the negotiator being done via phone.

I'd bet that we'll be able to get my dad & Tait to watch the girls.

Your dad was the most likely candidate for that job. He's in town on weekends, doesn't get to see his grandkids as often as Tait or your mom, and is less likely to want to participate (which is even an issue with your mother or Heather, though both are less probable).

Wow, sounds great! Count us in--I'm willing to be either a player or a sitter depending on what's needed more.

(Us meaning me and Adam for a given value of Adam divided by the actual time he has this semester, that is.)

I like this idea and know people who would be, too. You should email me at my username at Gmail.

I'd definitely like to be involved as much as possible, inasmuch as my psychotic schedule for the spring will allow me. I'm also happy to volunteer our home as a staging ground for any LARP you think would suit it, provided Stacie's cool with it too and the presence of kittens won't detract from it.

Probably not this first LARP, but maybe the next one, I might want to use your house. That one's still pretty sketchy in my mind, though.
