Oh dear, friends.  It seems that Cupid informed me of what he'd done after leaving yesterday.  For those of you who found yourselves to be...well, not yourselves, I believe I have the explanation.  My dear friend Eros decided he would take matters into his own hands and used a few of his magic arrows on some of you...

And I thought it was just some ( Read more... )

Well, yes! Have you never heard of Cupid's powers?

Sure, but isn't that all just a bunch of hooey?

You're talking to a living skeleton who's the King of Halloween and you're asking if that's a bunch of hooey?

Dear Doctor, after everything that's happened since you arrived, do you need to ask such a question?

Magic arrows? Can you elaborate?

Certainly. Cupid is the God of Love, you see, and he has a magical bow and arrow. When he shoots someone with an arrow, it generally hits them in the heart. This causes the heart to come alive with passion! ...often for the first person they see. Once struck and in love with this person, the magic usually only lasts for about one day.

Really, you've never read Shakespeare?

Hits them in the heart and makes them fall in love, huh? Sounds like something out of a fairy tale. But...hmm, I see.

I always thought fiction stayed fiction.

So that's why Sam was chasing me like that. How.... odd.

You have a ghost dog? That's actually pretty neat, mate.

Why, yes I do! I'm sure he'd be more than happy to meet you. He's such a friendly fellow.

Not at all! I think he'd like you very much.

So nobody was really in love, then?

Zero the ghost-dog... and here I didn't believe in ghosts. Is he visible? Can you touch him, or does your hand go right through him? Does he have long hair too?

I'm afraid not, X.

No my dog does not have a ponytail
He's quite visible. Zero is a funny fellow, though--he's more solid when he wants to be and quite intangible when he doesn't. I'm certain he'd let you pet him if you asked nicely.
